TURKISH COMPANY TO INVEST IN PROJECT ON EXTRACTION AND PROCESSING OF POLYMETALLIC ORES OF ALAYGIR DEPOSIT

National mining company Tau-Ken Samruk and Esan Eczacıbaşı Endüstriyel Hammaddeler San. Ve Tic. A.Ş (‘Esan Eczacıbaşı’) agreed to cooperate through signing of the Term Sheet on the Alaigyr Project at the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable, which was held as part of the Astana Economic Forum.

The Kazakhstani side was represented by Kanat Kudaibergen, Chairman of the Management Board of Tau-Ken Samruk, the Turkish side by Serpil Demirel, Director General of Esan Eczacıbaşı.

According to Term Sheet indicative conditions, Esan Eczacıbaşı will take over 75% of financing for construction of a mining and processing complex based on the Alaigyr deposit.

Tau-Ken Samruk national company attracts strategic investors to implement current projects in accordance with the Development Strategy approved in 2018.

JV Alaigyr LLP owns a contract for extraction of polymetallic ores at the Alaigyr deposit in the Karaganda region. As part of the project, it is planned to build a mining and processing complex with an annual production capacity of 35 thousand lead in a collective concentrate.
