At the Health&Safety Forum, organized by JSC “Samruk-Kazyna”, actingThe Chairman of the Board of JSC NGC Tau-Ken Samruk signed a personal commitment in the field of H&S. This commitment demonstrates commitment to safety values, ensuring the implementation of best practices in the field of occupational safety in companies, as well as creating safe working conditions for employees.
No fatal accidents and major industrial accidents were registered in the Company and its subsidiaries and dependent organizations in 2021-2022.
Contractors are involved at the Company’s production sites for the construction of enrichment plants and related infrastructure, for which it was developed the Contractors Management Standard, approved by the Management Board. The Standard defines the requirements for the work organization, maintenance of production and workplaces and sites, ensuring safety during work. In addition, recommendations for conducting behavioral audits at production sites are developed. The recommendations are aimed at identifying, preventing dangerous actions and conditions, strengthening motivation and increasing the commitment of senior management and managers at all levels, as well as employees to safety issues. The 2022-2023 plan provides for the measures on implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and subsequent international certification of subsidiaries and affiliates (JV Alaigyr LLP, ShalkiyaZinc LTD JSC and Tau-Ken Altyn LLP) to the above standards. Materials (rules, regulations, etc.) are prepared for implementation of the IR standards (industrial relations) at the production sites of subsidiaries and dependent organizations.
