The national company Tau-Ken Samruk and the state-owned Qatari company Qatar Mining confirmed their readiness to jointly implement promising investment projects.

At the meeting in Nur-Sultan, the CEO of companies previously discussed the issue of forming an investment framework for commercially attractive projects in the mining and metallurgical complex of Kazakhstan. At this stage, it was decided to create a working group with representatives of Tau-Ken Samruk and Qatar Mining to form a pool of investment projects. A corresponding Memorandum has been agreed, which is planned to be signed in March during the state visit of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to Kazakhstan.

Qatar Mining is a Qatari state-owned mining company founded in 2010. It invests in mining and metallurgical projects outside of Qatar, as there are no deposits of solid minerals in the country. Qatar Mining is currently involved in two major projects in Sudan and Algeria.
