110 applications in 12 nominations were applied to the competition from various industrial organizations throughout Kazakhstan. Organizing Committee reviewed all applications on the first day of the Congress – June 17 the Gala reception was held at which the winners were honored. According to the rules of the Competition, the final decision on the definition of the winners was made at a closed meeting of the Jury before the Gala reception. The main criteria in the selection of the winner was the performance on the application of innovative technologies, new approaches, economic, social efficiency and other factors.
At the contest in nomination of «Metallurgist of the Year»the winner was Yerbol Bazaralinovich Imankulov – CEO of the Management Board of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir», the subsidiary of JSC «Tau-Ken Samruk». This title was awarded to him posthumously. It will be recalled that in March this year Erbol Bazaralinovich tragically died in a plane crash.
Imankulov Y.B. had the large experience in manufacturing, specializing in metallurgical industry. From 1988 to 2004 he worked in enterprises of LLP «Kazzinc». For 26 years, he passed the professional way from a workshop foreman to the director of the copper plant. Since January 2014 to March 2015 he worked at the Metallurgical silicon production plant of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir» in Karaganda and employed as CEO of the Management Board. During the short period of time the plant was restored and put into operation after a period of prolonged inactivity. As a result, 313 jobs were created, the first production was achieved, which is now being exported to the CIS countries, the USA and Germany. To be great merit in holding Yerbol Bazaralinovich in commissioning and restoration operations of the plant. He made a personal contribution to the introduction of new technology to improve the organization of production, labor and management.
The ceremony invited the heads of companies and applicants who have entered the top three in each category. One of the participants – Director of the Department of Project Management Development and Capital Construction of JSC «Tau-Ken Samruk» Serik Musurmankulov was among the top three in nomination «Miner of the Year».
The national Contest in the field of MMC has become a tradition already and held the sixth consecutive year. The event took place in the main hall of «Rixos President Astana». The participants of the celebration noted the importance of recognizing the merits of labor production workers. Carrying out of such an important event not only encourages existing producers, but also bears a motivating factor for young professionals of mining and metallurgical industry of Kazakhstan.
