The Refinery was officially placed in service in December, 2013. It is located within the city of Astana and, therefore, special attention is paid to an ecological component. Experts of Tau-Ken Altyn refinery showed AkhmetzhanYessimov all the workshops, demonstrated him the full cycle of production of precious metals and assured that absolute ecological safety is ensured at each stage of refining.
The refinery is equipped to process even low-quality raw materials with high concentration of impurities providing effective extraction and receiving finished goods of not less than 99.99% of purity. All the applied equipment meets technical requirements of the European Union and is adapted for Kazakhstani standards.
Currently the National Bank of the country focuses on production of fine gold. Besides, Tau-Ken Altyn produces investment ingots of the precious metal. It is known that the refinery has submitted an application for obtaining the “GoodDelivery” status. In case of favourable decision of the LBMA (the London Bullion Market Association) fine gold produced under the Tau-Ken Altyn label will earn a special value as a subject for investments.
