PDAC 2025: Kazakhstan in the Focus of Global Investors

On the first day of the world’s largest PDAC 2025 conference, the “Meet Kazakhstan: The Power of Geology of the Ninth Largest Nation” forum was held in Toronto.

The event brought together leading industry experts and government representatives to discuss the geological potential of Kazakhstan.

The Chairman of the Management Board of the National Mining Company Tau-Ken Samruk presented the investment opportunities of the mining industry, emphasizing the company’s efforts to develop new promising deposits. Nariman Absametov paid special attention to the projects for the development of critical raw materials, including lithium and rare earth elements, which can play a significant role in the development of the global market for electric vehicles and electronic devices.

Within the framework of the “Meet Kazakhstan: The Power of Geology of the Ninth Largest Nation” forum, representatives of leading exploration and production companies noted Kazakhstan’s stability and openness to international investors and progress in the digitalization of the industry.

One of the central topics of discussion with financial institutions and private investors was new mechanisms for attracting financing to Kazakhstani projects.

The Kazakhstan national pavilion, which has already become a traditional one, also aroused unfailing interest among forum participants, the opening ceremony of which was attended by the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Iran Sherkhan, IFC Governor Renat Bekturov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada Dauletbek Kussainov and PDAC Vice President Karin Riis.
