As part of the official visit to Kazakhstan, Mr. Gilbert Houngbo, the Director General of the International Labour Organization, visited the Tau-Ken Altyn refinery today.
The Head of the ILO was accompanied by Svetlana Zhakupova, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhumabek Zhanykulov, the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Confederation of Employers “PARYZ” and top management of the National Mining Company “Tau-Ken Samruk”.
Mr. Gilbert Houngbo inspected the workshops of the plant, talked with employees and management of the enterprise. Askar Tleulin, the Director of the refinery told the Head of the ILO about the efforts being made at Tau-Ken Altyn LLP to ensure the protection of workers’ rights, occupational safety and health, social protection measures for workers, as well as plans for the future, in particular, on the ESG agenda.
And today, the Tau-Ken Altyn plant and the PARYZ NCE signed a memorandum of cooperation, which provides for interaction in terms of labor, social and related economic issues.
