The plant produces refined precious metals. The impurity purification technologies used here have no analogues in the CIS. The highest quality of gold bars produced by the Tau-Ken Altyn plant is confirmed by the LBMA “Good Delivery” certificate. In total, since the launch of the enterprise in December 2013, 336.7 tons of refined gold and 64.2 tons of silver have been produced.
Arnur Aidarkhanov, Director of Tau-Ken Altyn LLP, said that the plant is actively implementing ESG principles, reducing energy consumption, water and heat consumption, as well as developing the processing of catalysts and waste, which will expand the raw material base and strengthen its position in the market.
The Prime Minister stressed that the plant’s activities contribute to strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in the global precious metals market. In general, such production projects play a key role in the implementation of the strategy on diversification of the national economy.
“The Head of State has set the task of fully unlocking the country’s industrial potential. We have all the possibilities and necessary tools for this. Such industrial parks with favorable conditions contribute to the development of the industrial sector. Today, there are 14 special economic zones in Kazakhstan with different sectoral orientation and more than 20 industrial ones. We will continue and scale up this practice. Our task is the development of high conversion rates, the effective use and processing of domestic raw materials, as well as the formation of related industries around large enterprises. It is important not only to reduce dependence on imports, but also to create new opportunities for the growth of exports of products with significant added value”, – Olzhas Bektenov said.
