The IV meeting of the Kazakh-Canadian Business Council was held in the online format. Kanat Kudaibergen, CEO, JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk, representatives of government agencies, diplomatic missions and business of Kazakhstan and Canada participated in the event.
The experts discussed the current state and prospects of investment cooperation between countries in the field of natural resources and energy, as well as the opportunities of implementing joint projects in various sectors of the economy.
Kanat Kudaibergen, the Head of Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, noted the existing potential for further development of the mining and metallurgical sector of Kazakhstan and stressed that Tau-Ken Samruk, the national mining company, is open to cooperation with strategic partners.
“Kazakhstan has a significant mineral resource base and a number of world-class deposits. We are interested in development of new projects, investing together with strategic partners in exploration projects and active projects of Kazakhstan. I would also like to note that we have already started exploration projects with Fortescue”, – K. Kudaibergen said.
In turn, the participants expressed their readiness to continue the work on strengthening business ties between the countries and expanding bilateral cooperation.
