Tau-Ken Samruk to Attract Over KZT55 Billion Private Investments in Solid Mineral Exploration in Kazakhstan. National Mining Company together with the leaders in global mining and geological industry is implementing a number of attractive geological exploration projects.
The largest global companies and holdings, such as Fortescue Metals Group, Rio Tinto, Yildirim Holding, Esan Eczacıbaşı, Cove Capital, Solidcore Resources, Discovery Ventures, are among the partners and investors that Tau-Ken Samruk works with. International partners not only invest financial resources in Kazakhstan’s geological exploration projects, but also, which is quite important as well, their technological and scientific competences.
Nariman Absametov, the Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk: “At the Government meeting yesterday, the Prime Minister announced a number of important initiatives that will help bring domestic geological exploration to a new level and increase state revenues. Being the National Mining Company, we are now actively working on attracting investors. For example, in 2024, we managed to reach several conceptual agreements with our colleagues from the USA and South Korea. The focus of this co-operation is on the joint search for rare and rare earth elements and building sustainable supply chains.”
In particular, a trilateral memorandum between the US Department of State, the National Geological Survey and Tau-Ken Samruk provides for an independent assessment of resources in Aral region. Under an agreement with Cove Capital Investment Company, geological exploration is being conducted at a prospective site in Kostanay region. Together with the experts from Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources KIGAM, Kazakhstani specialists are studying the possibilities of introducing innovative technological solutions in mining sector of Kazakhstan.
