JSC ShalkiyaZinc and international company FLSmidth signed a contract for basic engineering, selection and supply of process equipment for the mining and processing plant under construction. FLSmidth has operations in North and South America, Australia, Africa, Asia and Europe and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company provides integrated testing, detailed engineering, world-leading equipment supply, expert process control and localised services for complex process design and process assurance in the mining and concentrating industry. FLSmidth has a particular focus on ‘sustainable productivity’ – improving productivity while reducing costs and environmental impact.As a reminder, the construction of the Shalkiya mining and processing plant is financed by borrowings from the EBRD and ShalkiyaZinc Ltd’s own funds.
