March 2-5, the representatives of JSC “Tau-Ken Samruk” participated at the 82nd international conference «Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2014″ in Toronto. PDAC is an important event in global mining industry and is held with the participation of hundreds of exploration, production and service companies, representatives of investment community from around the world. The conference is annually visited by thousands of people.
This year, the national mining company presented its projects at the stand of the Investors Exchange conference section. Despite the annual presentations of hundreds of investment projects from different parts of the world at this section, the exploration and production projects of Kazakhstan aroused interest among the PDAC participants. The gold production and rare metal production projects of JSC “Tau-Ken Samruk” attracted the special attention of the visitors.
During the conference, the Company held meetings with representatives of a number of large and medium-sized mining and metallurgical companies on issues of possible joint implementation of projects for subsoil use in Kazakhstan.
March 5, Alibek Arshabekov, the Managing Director for Business Development of JSC “Tau-Ken Samruk” made a presentation about the national mining company and its development prospects at the conference CanadaEurasiaRussiaBusinessAssociation dedicated to the PDAC.
During the visit to Canada, the representatives of JSC “Tau-Ken Samruk” visited the Toronto Stock Exchange in order to study the issues of possible access to international markets.
