Samruk-Kazyna has formed a pool of women leaders capable of joining the boards of directors, supervisory boards and executive bodies of the Fund Group of Companies. By 2030, women will occupy 30% of governing bodies.
For six months, 71 female managers completed modular training under the Gender Equality program implemented by Samruk-Kazyna with the support of the National Commission on Women and Family, Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Following the results of the program, 6 representatives of Tau-Ken Samruk strengthened their managerial competencies, gained new knowledge and skills.
As the Head of the Fund Nurlan Zhakupov noted today at the awarding ceremony of graduates of the first modular training program for women leaders, this is one of the stages of improving the approach to managing companies in the quasi-public sector, and represents the most important issue of long-term sustainability of companies.
In general, the problem of ensuring gender equality, as one of the goals of sustainable development of the UN, is relevant for our country: according to official statistics, the index of gender inequality of Kazakhstanis is 0.44 (0 – full equality, 1 – absolute inequality).
