Astana hosted the international exhibition Kazakhstan Industry Week. 242 companies from 17 countries of the world presented modern equipment and the latest technologies, samples of finished products and business ideas. Subsidiaries of the National Mining Company Tau-Ken Samruk – a refining plant and a plant for the production of metallurgical silicon were among them.
Tau-Ken Temir proposed an innovative product for the domestic construction industry – microsilica, which is successfully used in the construction and production of concrete structures in the world. Microsilica is a by–product of silicon production, with a low cost in comparison with other additives, it has unique properties that saves from 8% to 20% of cement, facilitates transportation and installation of finished concrete structures and, most importantly, obtains concretes with very high performance characteristics and unique structural capabilities – High Performance Concrete. Concretes of this group began to be used in the world construction practice more than twenty years ago. High strength, corrosion resistance, water resistance, frost resistance and durability characterize them. The use of microsilica also has great prospects in road construction.
Tau-Ken Altyn presented an environmentally safe electrochemical refining technology at the exhibition. The plant is ready to cooperate with suppliers of gold-containing raw materials for further processing on the terms of direct purchase or on a tolling basis.
