A meeting of the Kazakh-Qatari Business Council was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The event gathered together the Heads of large companies of the two countries, members of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government departments and financial institutions.
Alikhan Smailov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, on behalf of the Kazakh delegation, addressed the participants, noting the importance of active involvement of the private sector in deepening and expanding interstate relations.
Almasadam Satkaliyev, CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, outlined the prospects for expanding the strategic partnership, emphasizing that business cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar is reaching a qualitatively new level.
Kanat Kudaibergen, CEO of JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk presented the opportunities for cooperation with Qatari companies, focusing in detail on the peculiarities of legislation in the field of taxation and state regulation in the mining sector, he also presented to his Qatari colleagues the key investment projects of Tau-Ken Samruk National Company.
Representatives of Qatari industrial associations and companies expressed interest in implementing projects together with the companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.
