June 19, 2015 a Credit agreement for 7 770,000,000 (seven billion seven hundred and seventy million) KZT was signed between JSC «Tau-Ken Samruk» and JSC «Samruk-Kazyna» to acquire 100% stake in the authorized capital of LLP «Northern Katpar». The percentage of the Transaction amount to the total value of assets of JSC «Tau-Ken Samruk» is 2.5%.

«Northern Katpar» is a tungsten-molybdenum ore deposit, located in Karaganda region. The ore reserves of category C1+C2 is about 40 million tons. The deposit has been studied since 1973. In 1982 the preliminary exploration operations were completed. In 1987-1993 the detailed exploration operations were held in the area of the deposit.
