New Standards of Industrial Relations

The national mining company “Tau-Ken Samruk” introduces new standards of industrial relations (IR).

The IR corporate standard defines industrial relations as relations between an employer and employees related to the working environment conditions. This means that issues of safety, social and psychological well–being of employees are under special control.

At the first stage of the IR implementation, emphasis will be placed on providing comfortable sanitary conditions for employees, prevention of all forms of violence in the workplace (physical, economic, psycho-emotional, etc.), as well as the availability, accessibility and effectiveness of internal communication channels and effective interaction with contractors.

The IR screening, which will be carried out with the support of a single operator for the development of industrial relations – the Center for Social Interaction and Communications, will assist in identifying problem areas. Screening includes, among other things, checking auxiliary production facilities for compliance with regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.

Based on the received data, the IR specialists will develop a set of measures on correcting the identified shortcomings, these recommendations will be mandatory.
