JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with participation of the European Commission, signed theMemorandum of Understanding. The document is a logical continuation of the long-term successful cooperation between the National Mining Company and the EBRD, and is aimed at consolidating efforts to modernize the mining sector and increase its investment attractiveness.
The cooperation will focus on decarbonization and transition to the green economy, stimulating the technical and innovative development of the domestic mining sector, including the introduction of world-leading technologies. The subject of cooperation will also be the study of possibilities of expanding the raw material base of Kazakhstan and increasing the supply of critical metals to the European market.
