A new joint venture (JV) was created by JSC NGC Tau-Ken Samruk and Eczacıbaşı Holding (Turkey)

South Urals Limited LLP will search for gold and copper in the Aktobe region. In case of successful completion of the exploration stage, joint extraction and production of non-ferrous and precious metals is planned.

A preliminary agreement on the establishment of a joint venture was reached in May this year during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Turkey. The involvement of Eczacıbaşı as an investor became possible with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Turkey.

Eczacıbaşı Holding is a well-known Turkish diversified industrial group comprising 46 companies employing more than 12,000 people. In addition to the development of natural resources, Eczacıbaşı produces construction and consumer goods, it is actively engaged in information technology, development and healthcare.
