On June 04-05, the 15th anniversary International Mining and Metallurgical Congress “Astana Mining & Metallurgy” has been held in Astana. 1 300 delegates from 20 countries discussed key industry’s development thrusts, new approaches to sustainable development, supply diversification policies, and investment raising issues.
JSC “National Mining Company “Tau-Ken Samruk” widely participated in the tight business agenda. Nariman Absametov, the Chief Executive Officer of the Company greeted the participants of the Canadian Business Forum with a speech. Having noted the similarity of Kazakhstan and Canada as mineral-rich countries, he stressed the significance of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Daniyar Idrissov, the Chief Business Development Officer of JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk, discussed possible areas of technological and investment cooperation with international partners holding a series of working meetings with representatives of companies from Canada, Great Britain and Japan.
Gold Miners Forum: Development Focus
The VI Forum of Gold Miners of Kazakhstan was held on the second day of AMM-2025. Addressing the forum delegates, Nariman Absametov outlined the company’s strategic priorities: expanding the mineral resource base, developing geological exploration and strengthening the industry’s export potential through value-added growth.
Within the framework of the Congress of Jewelers of Kazakhstan, the subsidiary company, Tau-Ken Altyn LLP, and the EAEU Jewelers Association signed a joint action agreement aimed at developing the jewelry industry.
As part of AMM-2025, our colleagues also were honored with departmental awards for their operational excellence and commitment. Aisha Sydykova, the Chemical Engineer at the central factory laboratory of Tau-Ken Altyn LLP, was awarded the Yenbek Ardageri medal. Temirkhan Shalabayev, the Smelter of the refinery, was honored with the Yenbek Danky third-class badge.
