Four types of ore formations were found at the Shokpar Field: gold-sulfide-quartz; copper pyrite; gold-polymetallic on a carbonate-quartz basis; silver-polymetallic on a barite-quartz-calcite basis. Main type of ore is gold-sulphide ores, which form veinlet-disseminated and nesting formations in silicified, carbonated, serialized, chloritized sedimentary rocks of carbon formation. Field reserves were estimated to 250 m depth.
At the Gagarinskoye Field, high saturation with anomalies, halos and appearance of non-ferrous noble metals were noted. Complex gold-silver-polymetallic mineralization is controlled by meridional fault. The identified ore-controlling zone is confined to sub-latitudinal long-living tectonic zone represented by one or several adjacent zones with sulfide mineralization. About 10 private sub-latitudinal zones are allocated at the field conditionally. Field reserves were estimated to 300 m depth.
Reserves and Geology Summary
Gagarinskoye. In accordance with MoM of the RoK State Reserves Committee No. 2084-19-U dated 09.03.2019, 10,104.3 kg of gold and 84.2 tons of silver were included in the State Balance in industrial categories:
Shokpar. In accordance with MoM of the RoK State Reserves Committee No. 2091-19-У dated 01.10.2019, 10,952.9 kg of gold and 51.5 tons of silver were included in the State Balance in industrial categories:
Current status and planned measures
Currently, Shokpar and Gagarinskoye Fields have completed field exploration aimed at assessing gold reserves. Reserves are included in the State Balance. In order to start mining operations in fields, as part of the exclusive right, registration of a licensed subsoil use regime was initiated. In accordance with the requirements of “Subsoil and Subsoil Use Code”, mining plans and liquidation plans are being developed.
