Tau-Ken Samruk NMC, JSC took part in an international event — Investor Day, organized by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, JSC as part of the privatization program and potential investors expansion map.
Tau-Ken Samruk should be specially noted as the company directly involved to realize and put the main direction of achieving tasks in the mining sector set up by the Government and Head of the Republic.
In the light of transformation, the role of the Fund should be emphasized as far as it applies its efforts to create favorable conditions in the economic environment, which is a key factor in attracting foreign investors.
The Fund’s CEO Umirzak Shukeyev emphasized the importance of assets transfer into the competitive environment:
In accordance with the world’s best practices, we plan to transfer two-thirds of privatized assets to local investors and joint ventures, and a third part – to foreign investors. The Fund’s and its portfolio companies’ Management will present to the investment professionals in Almaty large and medium-sized one-of-a-kind companies from the privatization list that are most ready to attract potential investors.
During the investors meeting, KazMunaiGas NC, JSC, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC, JSC, Kazatomprom NAC, JSC, Samruk-Energo JSC the Fund’s portfolio companies and the enterprises planning assets sale under the program have made their presentations. It should be noted that such companies amount to some 600.
Generally, this event definitely has a great potential as a platform for an effective and efficient communication facilitating attraction of foreign and domestic investors.
