MINEX Kazakhstan 2025

Astana hosted the 15th anniversary International Mining and Geological Forum MINEX Kazakhstan 2025, a landmark event for the mining industry.

The forum brought together about 500 participants and 228 companies and organizations from 30 countries, including representatives of government agencies, global mining corporations, investors and technology leaders.

This year’s topic was “A New Era in the Development of Kazakhstan’s Mineral Resources: from Exploration to Processing”. The discussions focused on strengthening international cooperation, sustainable development and innovation.

The prospects of the mining sector in Kazakhstan, government priorities, plans and projects for development and diversification were discussed at a special plenary session, where Nariman Absametov, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk, made a speech.

In his speech, the Head of the National Company noted the country’s significant potential in the field of rare and rare earth elements (RM and REM), which are critically important for the global “green” and digital transformation, shared plans for increasing exploration and development of REM deposits with the creation of value chains.
