Tau-Ken Samruk National Company and Satbayev University will create a joint venture for research work.
The corresponding agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Tau-Ken Samruk NMC JSC, Kanat Kudaibergen, and the Rector of the Satbayev University, Iskander Beisembetov.
The company will help in solving a number of problems hindering the development of the mining industry in Kazakhstan.
In particular, the Research and Development Center (RDC) will be engaged in the development and implementation of innovative technologies in geological exploration, mining and processing of mineral raw materials, and at the same time commercialization of these technologies with the attraction of additional investments; specialists of the center will conduct research and development work for enterprises of the mining and metallurgical sector.
Another area of activity of the newly created RDC is training of personnel for the mining industry in undergraduate, graduate and PhD-doctoral programs, as well as organizing and conducting trainings and seminars for professionals working in the industry with the involvement of teachers from leading foreign training and research centers.
During the signing procedure, Kanat Kudaibergen noted that the creation of a joint venture is the first step towards the implementation of a large-scale program – the formation of a vertically integrated state holding company, which will give a new kick start to the development of the exploration sector and the related metallurgical industry.
