HR BRAND 2025

JSC “National Mining Company “Tau-Ken Samruk” has participated in the first corporate competition “HR Brand 2025”, arranged by Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The competition is aimed at identifying and promoting the best HR practices within the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies, with an emphasis on developing production competencies and applied skills, fostering respect for labor, and HR development, which is particularly true in the remit of the Year of Trade Jobs.

In total, 9 companies of the Samruk-Kazyna group took part in the competition. 25 cases were presented in five categories.

Nurlan Zhakupov, the Chief Executive Officer of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, noted: “This is the first time the competition has been held, and right from the start it has demonstrated a high level of engagement and maturity in HR approaches within the group. This confirms the sustainability of the chosen vector for investment in human capital as a key development strategy”.

The Tau-Ken Samruk team presented cases in the HR Breakthrough of the Year category, reflecting key areas of the new HR policy, including issues of fair pay, social stability, and strengthening corporate culture.

The implemented initiatives include:

– Specialized Hard Skills training programs in the mining industry in partnership with EKTU

– International internship and certification programs

– Introduction of flexible (remote and combined) work schedule

– Reducing the salary gap between administrative and production staff.

As a result, we managed to increase employee performance by 44% (up to 2 billion 322 million 183 thousand) and improve key HR brand health indicators – engagement, social stability, and well-being indices.

Thus, Tau-Ken Samruk demonstrates high adaptability to changes and challenges, while setting high standards in the field of human capital management.

In the short-term future we are planning to further digitize HR processes, develop a strong HR brand, and work with talent on a systematic basis.
