Tau-Ken Samruk Boosted the Gold Mineral Resources of Zhosabai Deposit by 68%

Following the exploration work in 2025 at Zhosabai site, National Mining Company Tau-Ken Samruk ensured a growth of gold mineral resources to 8.2 tons. These results underscore the project’s significant potential and the efficiency of the current drilling program.

Aggregate recoverable mineral resources reached 8,182.2 kg of gold, surpassing the previously registered State Balance figures (4,862.2 kg) by 68%.

The work performed also made it possible to upgrade the resource category (exploration maturity and estimation reliability): 786.7 kg of gold was converted from the Indicated to the Measured category. Indicated resources grew by 1 338 kg (+30%), while Inferred resources increased from 481.5 kg to 1 676.8 kg (+248%).

As part of the current stage, 7,340 linear meters of exploration and appraisal drilling were completed, and an updated 3D block model of the deposit was constructed. The 2026 drilling plan targets 8,590 linear meters. Currently, 1,160 meters have been drilled across 5 boreholes.

The subsoil use right at the site is owned by Akmolit LLP, a 100% subsidiary of Tau-Ken Samruk. Drilling operations are performed by Qazgeology Drilling LLP, a subsidiary of Qazgeology JSC. Founded in 2024, this is a specialized service company with extensive expertise in exploration drilling.

Subsequent work will be directed toward upgrading mineral resource categories and preparing for the registration of updated Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves on the State Balance by the end of 2027.
